2019/2020 Nigerian Law School Bar Part I Course Admission Form
This is to inform all intending applicants for admission to the 2019 Bar Part I Course, that the application process will open on Monday June 17 and end on July 26, 2019.
The programme will commence on Monday September 9, 2019 at the Headquarters in Bwari, Abuja.
PLEASE NOTE, IF THE MAT.NO. ON YOUR APPLICATION FORM IS DIFFERENT FROM THE MAT.NO. ON THE ELIGIBLE APPLICANTS’ LIST, YOUR FORM WILL NOT BE PROCESSED.
APPLICATION FEE: (N20,000) Twenty Thousand Naira Only
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS:
The programme is open to graduates of Law from Common Law Countries, whose Law courses have been approved by the Council of Legal Education. Degrees obtained through part time, long distance learning or study as an external student are not recognized for admission to this programme
METHOD OF APPLICATION:
Prospective applicants are to visit the Nigerian law school website: https://nigerianlawschool.edu.ng/,
Follow the instructions, complete the forms and submit same on-line.
Creating an Account and Logging In:
Sign up using your Matriculation Number as username and your desired password.
Once you have signed up once, you do not need to sign up again, subsequently you can log in.
Step 1: Enter your username which is your Matric Number and your desired password
STEP 1: Click on Bar I Application
Confirm Your Name In the Eligible Applicants List.
If your name is on the eligible applicant’s list for your University, then
STEP 1A: Generate your remita reference number and pay your application fees.
STEP 1B: Enter your remita payment details on the portal.
A reference number will be generated for you to show that you have completed payment.

To print your payment slip, you can print either immediately after generating your reference number
OR
STEP 2: Click on Print Bar II Application Payment Tab
This is shown below:
STEP 3: Print your application payment slip and attach to your form
STEP 4: Click on Apply for Bar Part II as shown above
Ensure you attach your application payment slip shown above to your Form before you submit to
your Dean.
Any applicant whose name is not on the eligible applicant list but goes ahead to pay forfeits the
amount paid in full. In addition, such a candidate will be sanctioned by the Council of Legal Education.
STEP 5: Print the page that contains your application number, this is shown below:
STEP 6: Click on Print Bar I Form, enter your application number, a sample form is shown below:
Click on Download Bar I Forms. This will enable you to download other relevant forms
Download relevant Form and attach to Form A1
Form A1 section B shown below is compulsory, it must be filled by all applicants and attached to
Form A1
The Medical Form is required once your admission status reads, ‘Full Admission.’
FORM B is compulsory, it MUST be filled by your Dean and attached to your form
Form B1 is not compulsory, only candidates who have either worked or are in full employment need
to give the form to their employers o previous employers as the case may be.
Same rule applies to Form B2.

Attach Your Remita application payment Receipt to your application form, else it will not be processed.
CLOSING DATE
Downloaded Application forms together with references on applicants, must be completed and returned to the Nigerian Law School, through the Deans of the Faculties of Law on or before Friday July 12th, 2019.
Applicants should ensure that original academic transcripts and references are received directly from their universities on or before July 26th, 2019.
LATE SUBMISSION OF APPLICATION FORMS WILL NOT BE ENTERTAINED,
IMPORTANT NOTICE
1. Only candidates whose data have been forwarded to the Nigerian Law School, by Deans are eligible to apply. Every candidate must therefore confirm his/her name on the Nigerian Law School website before proceeding to pay the application fee. Under no circumstance shall individual candidates approach the Nigerian Law School directly or through Parents/Guardians, for admission.
2. Approved re-admission candidates and cleared referred cases, are to confirm their names under re-admission, on the School’s website before proceeding to apply. Such candidates are to attach copies of their approval or clearance letters to their application forms, and dispatch same to the Secretary to the Council of Legal Education and Director of Administration, at the Nigerian Law School Headquarters, Abuja.
3. Applicants are to note their Application Numbers to access their admission status subsequently, please.
